Nanning Airport
The airport in Nanning is quite small (about the size of Liverpool John Lennon Airport) modern and easy to get to Nanning city, by car the journey takes approximately 40 minutes. I didn't try the buses from or to the airport, but the public transport in Nanning is excellent and there is usually a plethora of taxis to choose from
The facilities on offer are standard fare for most small provincial airports, the staff I found to be excellent, English speakers were (for me anyway) easy to find, they were helpful to the extent that they phoned forward to Guangzhou airport and solved a problem that my travel agent had created.
One interesting to thing to note in Nanning airport is the storage of several very old Mig fighters close to the runway.
