A Small And Efficient International Airport
The International Airport of Praia (Francisco Mendes Airport) is small, like Cape Verde.
It is organized, functional, new and clean.
The immigration area is small, but the Cape-Verdeans officials are very friendly.
There is a internal transit area with bench, a free shop, typical country gift store, and clean bathrooms.
It is not adequate to sleep, but is not impossible if you are prepared.
But, better, with a valid passport, you can obtain at immigration an entry visa for the country for 25 euros, and take a taxi and go to the city (10 minutes - 10 euros) and search a hotel, for 40/50 euros/night person with breakfast.
There is inside the airport an exchange, snack bar, travel agency, and sufficient policeman.
Outside the airport are some touts. You can speak in Crioulo language "obrigadoo ka misti", meaning "Thanks I don´t want".
