Great Airport, Room To Improve
My only real tips for major improvement:
1. RAIL LINK TO DOWNTOWN! Look at Singapore, Frankfurt, London, Lyon, Hong Kong, San Francisco... Toronto is lagging here, and we need to step up our game.
2. Canadian Customs arrival "hall" in T1. This low-ceiling, squat, plain and boring room is not the best thing to show new visitors to our country or the welcome Canadians home. At least Singapore has high ceilings and short lines!
3. Better WiFi in the T1 AC lounge. The normal YYZ WiFi is great, and actually better than the lounge WiFi. What's with that?
Terrible Airport?
Pearson Ignorance
Worst International Airport And Attitudes That I Have Ever Seen
The supervisor said to me that he saw and heard everything. If he did, he definitely needed to apologize for his colleague's statement which was full of bias. The supervisor obviously stood on that personnel's side, questioning me how could I go to U.S. for school if there was language barrier when I told him that the rude working staff was taking advantage of me not speaking English very well.
There was a fault in this matter on my side. My fault was I should have asked more clearly when I was not quite sure how to do something instead of trying to figure it out by myself, however, it doesn't mean I deserve to be yelled at, embarrassed, and insulted in public.
The last thing I want to say is everyone wants and has right to be treated in the way that you expect to be treated! PLEASE show your power to the people who endanger the safety of the country rather than people who are weaker than you. When you are standing and working in the international airport, you represent not just yourself but also countries. DO NOT jeopardize the civilized, respectful impression of the great U.S.A and Canada. DO NOT destroy the huge admiration we have for these advanced countries with human rights. JUST because of WRONG working staff. Not worth it!
