YKF
Excellent airport that is very underutilized. Unfortunately too many travelers from the rapidly growing Waterloo region, still have to drive to Pearson International (YYZ) - a horrible waste of time and costly parking. YKF should have regular service to major US cities : JFK, BOS, DTW, etc. Not to mention Canadian connections to Vancouver, St. Johns, etc. Security processing and boarding is fantastically quick, compared to huge airports. Convenient all around.

More Airlines Available
In addition to winter flights to Mont Tremblant, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata and Cancun YKF now offers daily flights to Detroit via Northwest Airlink, and Calgary via Westjet. Talks are still in progress to bring more services to YKF.

Waterloo Region Int'l Airport
This is a small but very efficient international airport. You can even get charter flights direct to Cuba, Dominican Republic or Cancun from here.
