Alert Bay Airport
Much grass, surrounded by forest and the Johnstone Strait. A paved strip with a windsock! Absolutely charming. Your hosts listen for the plane and then come to greet you. If they don't, then just keep walking downhill and you'll get to civilisation within 5 minutes. Airport is a huge exaggeration - in reality it's an airfield. I love it. You know you are very close to the wilderness.
