Small But Decent
Small But Decent
Small but decent airport. It has the basics, and is clean. The service is friendly. Don't expect tons of duty free shopping. Try to arrange a short layover, otherwise, try and book enough time to explore the city. It's not that it's a bad airport, as I mentioned, it has the basics, is clean, and is very pleasant looking. It's just boring.

Bandar Seri Begawan
A good little airport on the whole. The facilities are limited but are adequate. There is plenty of seating and the AC works. There are small rooms available that have a bed/shower and are a good alternative to a hotel if you have a long stop over. They are not cheap but worth it if you have a family with you. The bus tours are OK but are quite expensive at about $60 per person. The stores in this airport are the usual sort of stuff but are quite good value (and WILL haggle). Do not pay cash, the rate they offer for other currencies is very poor. Pay by Credit card you will save about 15% on the cash price. The Bureau de Change is OK, but like ALL airports the rate is not the best you can get. A nice little airport that has got everything you might need.

The airport is fairly small for such a large carrier. However, there's a lounge, a good cafe, jewellery shop, internet cafe, stationary shop etc. There are no sleeping seats yet. If you are stopping over for more than 4 hrs, I highly advise that you get out of the airport and take a tour.
