Outdoor Preflight Area
Perth International airport has outdoor terrace for pre-flight drinks yet smokers nervous before flying, it's no smoking. It used to be, why? the fumes of kerosene are much more harmful than a quick smoke out doors harms no-one. Still this is the nanny state where tourists who smoke are not wanted, wonder why the east coast gets more Asian tourists.

Perth Airport
Possibly the worst airport in Australia (and I live in WA). Just way too small for the number of people it has to service. A new airport is being constructed with the first stage due for completion at the end of 2010. It will therefore probably be a dogs breakfast till at least 2012/13.

Perth International Airport
The international terminal baggage hall is like stepping back in time. The customs & immigration area is serviced from the arrivals concorse by one small stairwell and single escallator, often blocking up. The airport is unable to handle the volume of traffic that it receives. There are no shower facilities at the international terminal. As an international facility it is appalling.

Perth Airport is divided into 3 terminals. Terminal 1 is International located east of Terminal 2 (Qantas Domestic, Qantas Link) & Terminal 3 (Virgin, Jetstar, Skywest) Airport is located 20km from city CBD. Terminals are all modern & well presented with good facilities.
