Recent New Terminal Is A Great Improvement
A very nice, new, modern airport terminal and upgraded airport facilities have recently been built at Newman. The usual courteous, friendly, efficient service by the QantasLink agents has been retained. This is an excellent standard for such a remote location. The only criticism is that baggage collection, toilet access and hire car facilities are all located outside the main airconditioned building. In Newman, temperatures regularly exceed 40 Dec C and the flies are a huge problem. Be prepared to drag your luggage over unsealed red dirt and rough ground when you are collecting your hire car.
