Getting To The Gold Coast Airport
The gold coast airport is quite popular as the "second" Brisbane airport with many low cost carriers such as Air Asia and Scoot using it to fly to Malaysia and Singapore. However, it's always been very difficult to get to/from Brisbane. There is a new service from Link Transfers which should help as it goes directly from Brisbane to the Gold Coast Airport /Link Transfers/. Other than the distance from Brisbane, Gold Coast Airport is excellent and it has recently been refurbished so it is much better than just a few years ago.

Gold Coast
The baggage handling and general flow of this airport (international) is a disgrace. I have never waited so long for bags anywhere in the world and the wait for customs was pathetic. I will never fly through there again.

OOL Airport
OOL is a great airport. People are friendly and very helpful. The lack of Jet Bridges could be a problem for some people but all in all it's a good experience.

The airport is great but as always the airport parking fees are a bit expensive.
