Alexandria and Fedex
Alexandria is also a Fedex transit point from New Zealand to Hong Kong. (I have a parcel there now according to Fedex tracking).

Yes, I live in OZ and you are right. Alexandria is in Sydney, Australia and is a major forwarding area for Fedex. OZ mail comes through here from Europe

Further on the comment by Graeme Klass, I see what you mean by items posted from other countries by Fedex go through a place called Alexandria. This, I am led to believe, may actually be Alexandria in Sydney, with the postcode 2015. This makes much more sense as Sydney is one of Australia's largest cities.
